Red-Hot Hottie is a two-mana red 2/2 Elemental creature from Unhinged (2004). (Whenever Red-Hot Hottie deals damage to a creature, put a third-degree-burn counter on that creature. It gains "At the beginning of each end step, sacrifice this creature unless you scream 'Aaah' at the top of your lungs."). This card is designed around forcing players to do something embarrassing, creating a physical comedy moment, and making the game louder and more theatrical. It’s played in casual Silver-border / Un-set games. This is the main environment where people play this card. She fits naturally into fun-party Un decks, red aggro Un decks, basically any deck built for comedy, not competition. Her role is typically an early attacker, a 2-drop creature that creates table antics – a card designed to force players to act silly. Red-Hot Hottie is not legal in sanctioned Commander. However, many groups allow silver-border cards for joke nights. In those playgroups she sees play in Chaos / Un-themed EDH decks, group-hug comedy decks, and red burn decks wanting table shenanigans. This card is also surprisingly popular in comedy cubes, Un-cubes, and party cubes. This card is not legal in any competitive environments at all. It’s not just a joke card – she actually pressures the board, trading with creatures and tags them with a burn counter so they die soon unless a player screams. In Un-limited, she’s a solid red common. Red-Hot Hottie is not on the Reserved List, no silver-border card ever is.
