He strictly offers basic black and white sharpie sketches ONLY. Featuring a combination of airbrush, and traditional brush techniques, Jandor’s Saddlebags is a two-mana artifact that can untap a creature by paying three colorless mana and tapping it. It’s one of the most memorable artifacts from Arabian Nights (1993), embodying the early era of Magic where cards combined flavor, utility, and imagination rather than pure power. The name and concept evoke the image of a mystical traveler’s gear – a saddlebag that lets your exhausted allies regain their strength. Mechanically, it’s one of Magic’s earliest “untap” effects, showcasing a design space that would later inspire cards like Staff of Domination and Magewright’s Stone. At a time when creatures tapped to attack or use activated abilities, Jandor’s Saddlebags offered a creative and flexible way to get extra value out of them. It can untap any creature, not just your own. This card also has some combo potential, as it can enable extra activations of tap abilites (e.g. Prodigal Sorcerer, Icy Manipulator). In early Type 1 (1993-1995), Jandor’s Saddlebags saw some experimental use, usually alongside Royal Assassin or Icy Manipulator. In Old School (93/94), it’s sometimes seen in Artifact Control / Combo decks as a utility engine in Mishra’s Workshop decks. In cEDH/Commander, it occasionally shows up in untap combo decks that exploit repeatable tap abilities (e.g. Derevi,Empyrial Tactician and Urza, Lord High Artificer). Jandor’s Saddlebags is not on the Reserved List.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0721/8000/6957/files/Jandors_Saddlebags_Original_Art_front_a_white.jpg?v=1775126536
