Honored Hierarch is a one mana green 1/1 Human Druid creature from Magic Origins (2015). It looks like a new version of Noble Hierarch, but plays very differently. It has Renown 1 (When this creature deals combat damage to a player, if it isn’t renowned, put a +1/+1 counter on it and it becomes renowned). As long as Honored Hierarch is renowned, it has vigilance and you can tap it to add one mana of any color. This card saw some fringe play in Standard (2015-2016) in various Abzan Aggro / Selesnya Aggro decks and Green-White “Renown” decks. But it was considered too unreliable compared to other alternatives like Elvish Mystic or Sylvan Caryatid. In Modern, it sees almost no competitive play. Cards such as Noble Hierarch and Ignoble Hierarch completely outclass it, producing mana immediately, while Honored Hierarch requires connecting with the opponent first. Honored Hierarch is not on the Reserved List.
